A Spring Cleaning Checklist for Central Florida Homes

Spring in Central Florida means a yellow film of oak pollen on everything, followed quickly by summer heat and storms. A good spring clean clears the pollen and prepares the house for the humid months ahead.
Clear the pollen
- Wipe window sills, screens, and sliding door tracks
- Wash porch and lanai furniture
- Clean ceiling fan blades inside and out
- Replace air conditioner filters
Reset the kitchen
- Empty and wipe the pantry and fridge
- Degrease the range hood and filter
- Clean behind and under small appliances
Prepare for humid months
- Check closets for musty smells and dampness
- Deep clean bathroom grout and caulk
- Wash curtains and bedding in hot water
